February 26, 2021 – Etienne Presents to the Nokiiwin Access to Justice Training Week

Etienne presented with Molly MacDonald at the Nokiiwin Access to Justice Week on the topic of Wills and Estates. Their presentation attempted to highlight the differences between estates that are administered in Ontario versus estates that are administered federally pursuant to the Indian Act. Irrespective of which regime estates are administered, the theme of the presentation is that you should estate plan and consult a lawyer in doing so. The need to consult a lawyer was highlighted by the complexities of the considerations that go into administering Indian estates and how it is not always so clear-cut.
